We have been getting our hands dirty and sweaty for serving in the village, three days ago we unloaded 25,000 lbs of lumbar off a barge for a man to build a log cabin yes 25,000 lbs ! Then we have had a bonfire with local teens, vbs has been great and a village movie night ! We have built some awesome relationships and God has really spoke through us.  Yesterday we flayed in the river over 100 salmon and we are going to have a village fish fry tonight. Emma and the Rampart team

After ministry

Rampart update

Rampart update. Today a local villager arrived with a barge full of building materials for his family's new home. I think Sam said it was 25,000 lbs worth of items. The team was able to serve this family by unloading all of it. This project took them a good five hours. The family was blessed with amazing helpers and our team was blessed to be able to serve in such a great way and to share Gods kindness with others. The family eagerly invited Sam and Rob to stay at their home whenever they revisit Rampart. The villager said they will always make room for them! Thanks Rampart team for making a great impact!

Possibly the very first VBS/movie sign in Rampart

The team had taco salad for dinner and wanted to dress the part

After moving 25,000lbs of lumber, the team felt incredibly accomplished

Last Frontier Ministries

Emma is working under the umbrella group Last Frontier ministries.  This is the info taken from their website.

"Thank You God for those who have a heart for the nations no matter how remote."  ~AMEN!

About

Last Frontier Ministries is a mission organization focused on bringing the Gospel to remote villages in Alaska, "the bush". God's love is shown through service projects, health education, short -term teams and Bible programs.
Mission
Last Frontier Ministries has a desire to reach out and help those in need in Alaska's remote interior. People from every tribe, nation and language are in need of love and acceptance, most seeking it through the wrong avenues. At Last Frontier Ministries we try to meet that need by sharing with them the love of Jesus; whether it be service projects, teaching health education clases or preaching about the love of Christ to the children, youth and adults, our desire is for others to truly experience love and restoration that is only found through Jesus.
Description
Last Frontier Ministries is an Alakan based mission organization focused on bringing the Gospel message to the remote, unreachable villages of Alaska's Interior. Short -term teams are used throughout the year to share Christ's love in service projects, health education programs, VBS and one on one relationship building.

first news ....

I got news from Sam that the Rampart team is doing awesome! Rampart is the most remote and adventuresome of the three villages that our teams are in. After a six hour bus drive and a two hour boat ride, the villagers warmly welcomed our team to their village. The team has been spending time visiting people in their homes and doing small work projects. Tomorrow they will start a VBS for the local children. I think it's been a long time, or maybe never, since a VBS has been in this village and we a very excited to be hosting one now!!! last night some of our group was invited to a persons home for a camp fire and smores. Their visit was enjoyable and relationships are starting to build!!
